This compilation has some lovely songs. Although the flute part can be played as a solo, you have to miss large sections that are piano solos, so it's better with someone playing piano. Failing that buy the CD, you can play along with it as the score follows the CD quite well. Just watch out for the end as two of the songs are in a different to the CD in order to fit the musical score better. Also some songs are very fast so it's best to learn them first as you may not be able to keep up!

Much of it in the low registerSome of the more rhythmically-complex pieces have no articulation marks (slurs) at all!Suitable for adult amateur players, not for developing younger students

This is a MARVELOUS collaboration between two greats: James Galway and Phil Coulter. Each piece is beautiful or energizing! It's a wonderful musical story of the Irish emigration from their country and their new life in America. Also, get the CD of it--it's extremely captivating!
