Great' van opzet is de spetterende opening, dan een geweldige melodielijn met mooie 'romantisch' gevormde hoogtepunten. Via een kleine vertraging komen we in een rustiger tempo II waarin zich een 'statig' concertmarsachtig thema ontwikkeld. Peter York op z'n best.Steve Sykes was erg blij dat wij hem dit werk konden leveren, hij had er jaren naar gezocht.
The sparkling overture of this piece is no doubt 'great' and it is followed by a terrific melodic line with several beautiful romantic highlights. By means of a slowing down we get a more moderate tempo (tempo II) which enables a kind of concert march theme to develop. This is Peter York at best. Steve Sykes was most happy to recover this composition which was considered as being untraceable for many years.
L'ouverture pétillante donne une impression de grandeur ('great') ; elle est suivie d'une belle ligne mélodique avec des sommets 'romantiques'. Nach einer kleinen Verzögerung gelangen Sie in ein ruhigeres Tempo II, in dem sich ein 'imposantes' Konzertmarsch ähnliches Thema entwickelt. Peter York zeigt sich hiermit von seiner besten Seite. Steve Sykes war sehr froh, dass wir ihm dieses Werk liefern konnten, nach dem er schon jahrelang gesucht hatte.
