De mars 'Vento di Maggio' (Meiwind) werd gecomponeerd om de beroemde 'Festa dei Ceri' in Gubbio (Umbrië, Italië) te vieren. Dit is één van de oudste Italiaanse folkloristische spektakels. The march Wind in May (Vento di Maggio) was composed to celebrate the famous 'Festa dei Ceri' in Gubbio (Umbria), one of the oldest Italian folklore display. This is a solemn act of devotion towards the city patron Saint Ubaldo. On 15th May, people carry three big candles (more than 3, 5 m high), running all around the town and up mountain. 'Wind in May' won the 2nd International Composition Contest for Marches, who took place in Gubbio in 2009.

La marche 'Vent du mois de ma' a été composée pour célébrer les fameuses 'Festa dei Ceri ' à Gubbio (Umbrie), une des plus anciennes manifestations folkloriques d’Italie. Il s’agit d’un acte de dévotion solennel envers le patron de la ville Saint Ubaldo. Le quinze mai, les gens portent trois énormes cierges (de plus de 3, 5 m de haut) à travers la ville et les monts environnants. 'Vent de mois de mai' a emporté le Premier Prix du Deuxième Concours International de marches à Gubbio en 2009.

Der Marsch 'Vento di Maggio' (Maiwind) wurde im Auftrag der berühmten 'Festa dei Ceri' in Gubbio (Umbrien, Italien) komponiert. Es handelt sich um eines der ältesten italienischen folkloristischen Spektakel. Es ist eine feierliche Ehrerbietung für Sankt Ubaldo, den Patron der Stadt. Am 15. Mai tragen die Einwohner drei riesige Kerzen (über 3, 5 Messer hoch) durch die ganze Stadt, bis oben auf den Berg hinauf. 'Wind in May' gewann 2009 den 2. Internationalen Marschkompositionswettbewerb in Gubbio.
