Dit korte, beschrijvende werk is gecomponeerd in opdracht van Vakantieorkest Ad Hoc, ter gelegenheid van hun 10-jarige bestaan en hun tournee door het zuiden van Frankrijk. Het werk verwijst naar de accommodatie waar het orkest vaak te gast is geweest. Wild Horses is een wervelende compositie, die de luisteraar onverbiddelijk meetrekt naar de woeste wereld van het Wilde Westen. Tevens is dit werk een bescheiden eerbetoon aan één van de meest invloedrijke filmcomponisten aller tijden: Ennio Morricone. Het hoefgetrappel van de wilde paarden, de uitgestrekte woestenij en de oogverblindende schoonheid van de prairie bij zonsondergang vormen de voornaamste inspiratiebronnen voor dit spectaculaire werk.

This short, descriptive work was composed to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the dutch wind ensemble 'Vakantieorkest Ad Hoc', on their tour to the south of France. The work is a reference to the accommodation where the orchestra has often stayed. 'Wild Horses' is an rip-roaring composition, which brings forth images of the sometimes harsh and exciting world of the Wild West. This work is also a tribute to one of the most influential film score composers of all time: Ennio Morricone. The trampling of the wild stallions, the expansive wasteland and the exquistie beauty of the prairie at sunset form the main inspiration sources for this spectacular work.

Cette court esquisse musicale a été composé à la demande de l’orchestre de vacances AdHoc, à l’occasion de leur dixième anniversaire et de leur tournée dans le Midi de la France. L’oeuvre réfère à l’ accomodation qui a hébergé l’orchestre régulièrement. 'Wild Horses’ (Chevaux Sauvages) est une composition tourbillonnant, qui emporte l’imagination inexorablement vers le monde sauvage du 'Wild West’. En même temps la composition est un hommage modeste à l’un des compositeurs de musiques de film les plus influents de tous les temps: Ennio Morricone. Les bruits de sabots des chevaux sauvages, le désert étendu et la beauté éblouissante de la prairie au coucher du soleil constituent l’inspiration principale pour cet oeuvre spectaculaire.

Dieses kurze, beschreibende Werk wurde im Auftrag des 'Vakantieorkest Ad Hoc' (Ferienorchester Ad Hoc) zur Gelegenheit von ihrem 10-jährigen Bestehen und ihrer Tournee durch den Süden Frankreichs komponiert. Das Werk verweist auf die Aufenthaltsorte an denen das Orchester oft zu Gast gewesen ist. 'Wild Horses' ist eine wirbelnde Komposition die den Zuhörer auf eine unübertroffende Weise in die wüste Welt des Wilden Westens mitnimmt. Zugleich ist dieses Werk eine bescheidene Ehrung an einen der meist einflussreichsten Filmkomponisten aller Zeiten: Ennio Morricone. Das Hufgetrappel der wilden Pferde, die weiträumige Wüstenlandschaft und die glänzende Schönheit der Prärie beim Sonnenuntergang bilden die wesentlichste Inspiration dieses aufsehenerregenden Werkes.
