This song was inspired by Patti Callahan's novel, "Once Upon a Wardrobe." If this book had a soundtrack, this is my idea of it. It's a story of faith - faith in finding meaning, faith in a beloved story, and faith even in the face of loss. The song reflects the magic inherent in the stories of Narnia (Callahan's novel centers around C.S. Lewis' "The Chronicles of Narnia") and the hope of an ailing little boy to find out where the story "comes from." It lends emphasis to the idea that although the Narnia stories are fiction, there is indeed much to be found therein that IS real. And as a young mathemetician surprises herself to find meaning in something not based in logic, so does the listener realize that even when we think we have found the truth of "where the story begins," we are only just beginning and there is more to find.
