Stephen Ian Savage has truly made a name for himself for his masterful clarinet playing, compositions, arranging, and teaching. He plays with the El Paso Symphony Orchestra, Austin Symphony Orchestra, et al. Additionally, he is a recording artist and chamber musician featured on Toccata Classic’s forthcoming Arnold Rosner: Band Music.Stephen is a composer for films, the concert stage, and everywhere in between. He's produced many albums, film scores, and EPs as a solo artist and with his electro-acoustic-neo-folk group Nøkken + the Grim. Stephen is an acclaimed arranger who's worked with Grammy winners like Wynonna Judd and Daniel "Bekon" Tannenbaum. His arrangements have also been featured at the SXSW Festival and the CMT Awards. He works closely with the Sienna String Quartet as their resident arranger.
Stephen Savage teaches clarinet and composition in Austin, Texas. His students have been accepted to esteemed institutions such as UT Austin, NYU, Michigan State, and Maryland University. He currently lives in Austin, Texas with his husband Fehérló.
