Hearing the music of João Teixeira Guimaraes (a.k.a. Pernambuco) was the original inspiration for the Canadian composer William Beauvais to compose these eight guitar solos in the ever-popular style of the Brazilian Chôro.
All eight works are cleverly crafted pieces illustrating that the composer has an intimate working knowledge of the guitar fingerboard and also showing that he has a highly developed sense of melodic invention which is put to good use using these wonderfully exciting and absorbing rhythms.
