An optioinal percussion part has been added. The score has been re-written to show Part 1 in Bb, Part 2 in Bb, Part 3 in F, Part 4 and Part 5 in C (Bass clef). There is still an additional Eb Soprano part and the treble clef versions of parts 4 and 5 are also included, as is part 3 in Eb.

Beautiful Carpenters Tune
This is a very approachable arrangement by Mike Lyons of a lovely tune that was one of the first big hits by the Carpenters. It will work well in either a concert or private party setting. Including an optional drum set part would have been helpful, but the piece sounds great with brass alone. I hope Mr. Lyons will consider arranging Close to You and other Carpenters songs for bras quintet.
