His example remains – the gospels attest
His was a holiness the world could not kill.
The stars look down on the Earth that he blessed,
And so tonight we remember Him still.
Carols we sing bring to mind the Christ child
Who came in darkness to bring us His light
To the halt, the lame, the blind, the exiled.
And so still we remember Him tonight.
