Released in 1967, Waterloo Sunset is one of the best known songs of the influential British rock band, The Kinks. The title refers to Waterloo train station in central London, and the bridge crossing the Thames. The shapely syncopated melody, with its falling strains, perfectly communicates the ebbing and flowing both of the narrator's emotions and of the river below.
Janet Bullard has a busy and thriving piano teaching practice and many years’ experience of teaching adults and children. Alan Bullard is a pianist, composer and arranger whose music is performed widely.
