This intermediate woodwind quintet digital download arrangement of John Philip Sousa's patriotic march "The Washington Post" is perfect for recitals, contests, competitions, patriotic concerts, Americana events, pops concerts, or background-dinner-music gigs. It is a short, engaging piece that can break up a long program and give the ears a brief hiatus from some of the heavier pieces on the program. This arrangement was written for professional, college, and advanced high school ensembles. I have included an alternate bass clarinet in lieu of a missing bassoon. This classic American march, named after the venerable newspaper, is a patriotic favorite and will invoke memories of favorite American pastimes with your audiences. Originally scored for a full concert band, I hope you enjoy this unique setting of a Sousa classic.
