Text:
Waiting for sunrise, I fall to my knees,
Grateful for blessings imparted by Thee,
Begging Thy pardon for all of my faults,
Asking a blessing from heavenly vaults.
Waiting for sunrise, hear Thou my heart.
Working in daylight, my thoughts turn to Thee.
Hearing Thy prompting, Thy servant I'd be.
Serving Thy children, Thy Son be my guide,
Hoping one day I might with Thee abide.
Working in daylight, keep me in sight.
Darkness approaches, and still Thou are't there,
Blessing with knowledge to soften my care.
Seeking Thy wisdom, I incline my ear,
Turning the shadow to comfort and cheer.
Darkness approaches, banish my fear.
