I really enjoy Benny Golson's music. He is an inspiration for me. I ordered this song book with the thinking I would get a better insight to his style of music. The sheet music is ok at best. They are as he plays them. If you are a beginning student this may not be for you. The sheet music is not very clear and appears to be just thrown together. The backing tracks are great. The only thing I wished they had was a lead arrangement along with the backing tracks. The lead arrangement provides a great insight as how to play the arrangement. I am still advancing and always trying to get a handle on improvised solo's. If they had written into the sheet music solo's that you could add onto this would make the book even better. I am sorry I couldnt rate higher, but as a plus the backing tracks are great to listen to and try to play with.
