Fun Coldplay Hit for Community Bands!
As an adult learner playing in a community band, this 'Viva La Vida' arrangement by Tim Waters is fantastic! It's such a recognizable Coldplay song, and the Grade 2 difficulty means it's totally achievable without too much struggle. The moderate tempo and repetitive figures make it really fun and rewarding to play on a weekend, sounding great with the full ensemble.

Effective Instrumental Voice-Leading for Band
While not a traditional piano-vocal score, as an ensemble director, I appreciate the excellent voice-leading in Tim Waters' 'Viva La Vida' for concert band. The arrangement provides a solid, balanced texture across all instruments. The Grade 2 level, combined with clear melodic and rhythmic figures, ensures each section contributes effectively to the overall sound. A great piece for developing ensemble dynamics.
