An arrangement of a piece from Granados' very first published work, a set of tunes entitled 'Cuentas de la Juventud'. Here I have set tunes five , 'Viniendo de la Fuente', literally 'coming from the fountain' - or 'spring'. I have transposed it to D major for the guitar and it flows quite nicely. It is relaxed and expressive and would make a nice contrast between lively pieces in a performance or a quiet encore.
