In this arrangement, the euphonium, first horn and first trumpet have exposed, expressive solos that are not technically difficult but require strong players. The beautiful horn solos in this arrangement are identical to the original scoring, except this arrangement is transposed down a whole step. The entire piece is scored very thinly, with soft dynamics and subtle entrances, requiring solid players on all parts. The first horn's extensive solos reach near the top of an intermediate horn player’s range (high A). (There are two versions of the euphonium part to accommodate both bass clef or treble clef players.).
