Vespers Organ - Sheet Music

As in "Gregorian Prelude", the English Romantic harmonic idiom permeates "Vespers" for organ. Two easy-flowing melodic sections surround a gently contrasting fugal middle section. This work is moderately easy to perform, and its plaintive nature makes it well suited for an evening service prelude or recital. "Vespers" is one of six fairly simple pieces in contrasting styles, written originally for use at the Benedictine monastery of Prinknash Abbey in Gloucester, England.
