By Wendy Hellmann. Composed by Francesco Maria Veracini. Arranged by Wendy Hellmann. This edition: audio. Baroque, Classical. Accompaniment. Duration 243. Wendy Hellmann #1326240. Published by Wendy Hellmann (A0.1765844).

This is the accompaniment track for the final movement (Gigue) of Veracini’s Violin Sonata in D minor. The tempo of the track is around dotted quarter note = 80 and begins with a 2 bar intro which ends on a d minor chord to avoid the violinist starting with a pickup note before the piano begins. The repeat is included. This work can be found in Suzuki Volume 5; the video stays true to Suzuki’s suggested bowings and dynamic markings. Veracini was a prolific late Baroque composer. He spent most of his life in Florence, Italy, and came from a family of violinists. He was generally considered on of the finest violinists of his time. Performed by Wendy Hellmann.
