Interesting music
Here is a novel set of piano variations on a theme of just 5 notes. It is amazing just how much music Chris Gordon has squeezed out of them, given that the duration of the music is over 10 minutes. Adding to the intrigue are 2 interludes, one musing on the popular 16th century tune, La Folia, and at the end, a 'meditation' of the first of Brahms' Op. 117 intermezzi.All in all a clever bit of musical cobbling and stitching to make a very satisfying work.
