Variations by Ludwig van Beethoven Bass Clarinet - Sheet Music

By Ludwig van Beethoven

Beethoven composed three sets of variations for 'cello and piano, based on themes from Handel and Mozart. This particular set, based on a charming and familiar theme from Mozart's Magic Flute, works wonderfully in transcription for bass clarinet and piano. The work, published as WoO 46, features the theme Bei Mannern, welche Liebe fuhlen. The variations would make an excellent addition to a recital program. The original key of E-flat major places the bass clarinet in the comfortable F major, and an extended range instrument is not required. Original key and range maintained throughout.
