Composed by Dave Nicolette. Arranged by Dave Nicolette. This edition: pdf. 19th Century. 114 pages. Dave Nicolette #1325136. Published by Dave Nicolette (A0.1764787).
An arrangement of four Venezuelan waltzes:
Adios, a Acumare (Antonio Lauro) Pluma y Lira (J. Telesforo Jaimes) Dama Antanona (Francisco de Paula Aguirre) Conticinio (Laudelino Mejias)
The piece cycles through the waltzes in the order listed above, coming back around to Adio, a Acumare to finish. The arrangement is playful, passing bits and pieces of the melodies between various soloists and small subsets of the band. It's easy for audiences, but challenging for the band.
It's called Juego 1 (Set 1) because I'm planning a second set. It's been 15 years, but I'm still planning it. Sort of.
