By Daniel Baldwin. Valley of the Sun was written at the request of my good friends Tama Kott and Arnold Irchai. It is inspired by my trip to Arizona in the summer of 2011 and the title is takes its name from a section of Arizona by the same name. It is by turns dramatic, lyrical, jazzy, and aggressive in its short span of three minutes. It was premiered at the 2013 IDRS convention at Redlands University in June, of 2013.
