This a cappella arrangement of the progressive rock classic from Pink Floyd's iconic Dark Side of the Moon album is set for SSAABar. It can suit concert themes of seventies, war, prog rock, and more.
The arrangement leaves out the instrumental verse, restricts the introduction to two bars, and finishes with a simple held chord, making a piece of just under 6 minutes duration. Most of the verse lead vocal has been raised up an octave and placed in the Soprano 1 part, while the choruses are at the original pitch. There are subtle differences between the verses, in how the echoes and occasional countermelodies are treated. Most of the main tune respects the rhythms of the original Pink Floyd version, but some phrases have been changed to be less syncopated.
