Un villancico a 4 voci oltre a violini, viola e basso continuo, composto da Esteban Salas, sacerdote e musicista cubano del periodo tardo barocco, probabilmente di origine meticcia.
Il simpatico tema del villancico è il seguente: un ragazzino, giovane musicista, va ad adorare il bambinello con quel che ha, cioè il tempo che dedica allo studio della musica, pensando con questo di far felice il bambinello e allo stesso tempo di chiedere a Gesù, Giuseppe e Maria la grazia di... aiutarlo con i compiti, visto che capire concetti come maxima, longa, breve, pausa, corona, tempo ternario, ecc... non è facile.

The jolly theme of the villancico is the following: a boy, a young musician, goes to adore the little boy with what he has, that is, the time he dedicates to studying music, thinking with this he'll make the little boy happy and at the same time asking Jesus, Joseph and Mary the grace to... help him with his homework, since understanding concepts such as maxima, longa, brevis, pause, fermata, ternary time, etc... is not easy.
