Inspired by the cover by Nat McIntosh and the Youngblood Brass Band, "Umbrella" has been rearranged for jazz big band. This arrangment features traditional big band instrumentation (5 saxes, 4 trumpets, 4 trombones, and rhythm section) with the orginal Youngblood parts reorchestrated and in some cases simplified while utilizing the entire big band. Care has been taken to spell the lead trumpet player at various parts in the chart to keep them fresh for some of their "screamer" moments (all of which can be taken down the octave as needed!). Written in the key of F; lead trumpet plays up to written F#6. Great for advanced high school and college level groups and above!
