Each book contains carefully edited arrangements appropriate to each instrument, and well suited for level 2-3 students. Popular carols are presented both individually and in medleys and suites. Celebration Medley includes the cheerful classics Hallelujah Chorus and Joy to the World. Manger Medley incorporates unique arrangements of Away in a Manger and Silent Night. And Carol Medley features songs great for caroling, such as Hark! The Herald Angels Sing and The First Noel. Limited by being all in first position
Slightly disappointed it was all first position. Some of the rhythms, few swing songs and the speed with the CD makes it early intermediate. Arrangements are nicely done but limited in range. Including the piano part was nice but putting it on the CD instead could have reduced the cost.

Perfect for the beginner to Intermediate student!
This collection of tunes is the perfect one to get your kiddos practicing again! The arrangements are very tastefully done, with or without the accompanying CD, and the pieces range in difficulty level to meet a variety of levels of learning. The very beginner will find them challenging, but attainable, as the tunes are so familiar that the rhythms should not be difficult. Intermediate students will enjoy sightreading the pieces while their teachers can emphasize aspects of musicality. There are a few medleys with more than one song, but each song can be used as a separate entity. I cannot recommend this book highly enough!

We loved it!
We ordered several books in order to play a good selection of tunes for Christmas with violin and piano. The parts are well written, easy to read, and the arrangements good. We actually ended up ditching a lot of the tunes in the other books and using almost all the songs in this one. Highly recommend.

An excellent bargain!
I am a guitar player looking to freshen up my Christmas repertoire... I also work with violins, flute, cello, and saxophone and have encouraged them to purchase. There are some new tunes in here, but the arrangements are clever and tasteful! Plus you get the full piano accompaniment and the accompaniment with and without the violin. This music is not only playable with those instruments, it is also in range on the guitar, plus the piano score has the cords nicely laid out... a real bargain considering the number of tunes, sound tracks, and piano/chord music.
