Shchedryk is a Ukranian New Year song that celebrates the coming of Spring and wealth. It is better known, though, for its adaption as the Christmas carol, "Carol of the Bells."
This is a short (around a minute and a half) arrangement suitable for intermediate level pianists and, aside from a couple of bars which require good coordination, it would be a quick and easy piece to learn for school Christmas concerts etc. It uses a lot of the range of the piano to add interest to the repetitive melody and it has a lovely twinkly, christmassy feel to it.
