This popular folk ballad is featured in the score for the 1967 version of Far From the Madding Crowd representing Sgt. Troy. This arrangement is for ukelele solo with folk combo. The instrumentation can be treated flexibly, particularly the percussion parts. Chord symbols are included so a second uke can strum along (except in the solo passages). Note that accordion and snare drum (which are not essential but add colour) have been ommitted from the score to save space, but are included in the audio sample and the playalong -1 MP3. The important thing is to showcase the solo ukulele - think of it as a sort of Concierto de Aranjuez for beginners!
