TZENA TZENA TZENA TZENA- for Concert Band. "Tzena, Tzena, Tzena" is a lively and upbeat song with a rich history. Originally composed by Issachar Miron and Yehiel Haggiz in 1941, the song was intended to celebrate the gathering of people and joyous dancing often associated with communal celebrations. The song gained international recognition when American folk artists The Weavers, led by Pete Seeger, popularized an English version in the 1950s. The English adaptation became a hit, contributing to the folk music revival in the United States. The infectious rhythm and celebratory spirit of "Tzena, Tzena, Tzena" have made it a staple in both Jewish cultural events and folk music performances worldwide.
