Two Sleepy People came from the movie Thanks For the Memory, a follow up of sorts to The Big Broadcast of 1938. While both films starred Bob Hope and Shirley Ross, Two Sleepy People had the advantage of being written by two giants of the Great American Songbook, Hoagy Carmichael (Stardust) and Frank Loesser (Guys and Dolls).
