These 2 lullabies have been transcribed on request of my student Kate after her grand daughter had been born. She wished to play her cello for the baby who seems to like music. the selection is: No 1) Melodie by Robert Schumann from Kinderszenen op 68 No 1 No 2) Brahms Wiegenlied op 49 No 4 Both lullabies sound well for cello solo, but a second cello part is added to enjoy among cellists! For Schumann's Melodie the original piano score can also be played as an accompaniment. As for the Brahms, the piano accompaniment can be used if written for a singing part in D major, starting on the (melody) note f#.
