Ethel Smyth's Two Interlinked French Folk Melodies is a chamber work composed in 1924, adapted from the intermezzo of her opera Entente Cordiale (1923–24). The piece was first published in 1928 by Oxford University Press, originally arranged for Flute, Oboe (or Violin, or Viola), and Piano. In addition to the original parts included in the publication, transposed parts for Alto Flute and Clarinet have been created to give more performance possibilities.
