“Tu vuò fà l’americano” (“You Want to Play American”) is a classic Neapolitan song made famous by Renato Carosone, written in collaboration with Nicola “Nisa” Salerno in 1956. Originally commissioned for a radio contest, the song quickly became a major success and has since become one of Carosone’s most enduring works.
