This rousing hymn tune (Truro) dates from the 1700s and is sung with several different sets of hymn words, including "Lift Up Your Heads, Ye Mighty Gates" and “Christ Is Alive! Let Christians Sing.” This arrangement is uplifting and celebratory. It modulates from D to Eb, and has a short section in 3/4 time. It's a great addition to any church service. (This arrangement is also published under the advent hymn title, “Lift Up Your Heads, Ye Mighty Gates.”).
