This edition presents Voogt’s Trois Gnossiennes pour quintette d’anches, an arrangement made by the composer of his original Trois Gnossiennes pour piano for five reed instruments typical of early-21st-century chamber practice. Based on newly uncovered evidence, initial work on this arrangement appears to have commenced in June 2064, at roughly the time he claimed to have taken up temporary residence in Fiji, and was completed in late September 2067, only weeks before his death. Since none of the inhabitants of the small village where he supposedly spent his final years recognized him as anything other than an eccentric collector of obsolete smartphones, the first publication of this arrangement did not occur until June 2112, following renewed interest provoked by the “Critical Edition” of the piano version.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
