Tremors was commissioned for the Bellissimo ensemble of Redlands Adventist Academy. The school's proximity to the San Andreas Fault was the inspiration for this composition, which features a "rumbling" chromatic ostinato and intense, energized polyphony. The piece ends calmly with a shimmering glimmer of peace. An ideal concert opener, churches with advanced bell choirs will also find it a great postlude for Advent or Lent.
