First recorded live in 2017 at Seattle's KNKX Public Radio and released in 2025 as a single from the posthumous EP "Roy Hargrove: Live at KNKX," Top of My Head is a beloved modern standard reimagined for big band. This rendition, which includes a band orchestration of Roy's iconic solo and concludes with the original vocal verse, features solo room for the entire trumpet section as well as drums. Highest trumpet range is D6 in concert pitch.
