Neo-classical, very effective arrangement for piano trio (violin, cello, piano). You´ll find no repeats in this arrangement. Every verse, and every chorus is a variation, not a repetition. Thus, the whole song is written out. I´ve adjusted the melody to meet the demands and the practicability of string instruments: Tone repetitions and smaller notes have been reduced to a minimum where possible. They are important for transporting the lyrics (especially in ballads), but often present a kind of hindrance for violin and cello. By adjusting these notes, the strings have a greater possibility to “sing“. Also, the rhythmic construction of the theme is straighter than in Adele´s version. She is a master when it comes to blending phrases and bars together. But as for strings, we would have to write differently. Level of all instruments is definetely tending more to the „advanced“ side. Accept the challenge ;-) First verse and chorus are in the violin. Second verse is in the cello. Second chorus and last chorus right up to the coda are a dialogue between violin and cello. There are two key changes. Song starts in Adele´s original key, Ab-Major. Second verse is also in Ab. Second chorus then goes to A-Major, and is rather in „grandioso“ style. Third chorus (after a small piano interlude) is in Bb, and starts much calmer than in the original. Builds up right to the coda which, again, is more plaintive, romantic, and kind of withdrawn than Adele´s original version. Comes with full score, and individual parts. Have fun with my arrangement!
