In this textbook 50 simple accompaniments are included that are perfect for guitarists of all levels, but especially for beginning guitarists. The 50 accompaniments can be performed on the acoustic or electric Guitar, and encompass a vast number of different styles, from folk, pop and rock to blues and bossa nova.
Techniques like arpeggios using the fingers or the plectrum, strumming and hammer-ons are included. The various accompaniments are based on the creations of famous guitarists, helping you develop a sense of rhythm, learn how to use your instrument skilfully, and learn the essential techniques for playing theGuitar.
The accompanying CD offers an accompaniment play-along. The 50 tracks can be played at two different tempos, both normal speed and a slower speed, letting you learn each gradually at your own pace. In the playalong at actual speed, the Guitar will play at first, then fade out to let you take its place. Each track is deliberately long, totalling about 5 hours of music. This gives you enough time to practice and play for as long as you want. Similarly, the DVD lets you listen to, and watch each track, ensuring you understand the optimal fingering and rhythm.
