Ticker Tape Piano Solo - Digital Sheet Music

Piano, Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download

SKU: A0.1582026

Composed by Jake Basten. This edition: pdf. 21st Century. Score. 3 pages. Jake Basten #1153515. Published by Jake Basten (A0.1582026).

A piece from the newly released book Ripples: Modern Piano Works by Jake Basten and Giles Nash

Ticker Tape shows us the ever moving, unemotional nature of the machine, in the style of early modernist composers of the 20th century such as George Antheil, and with influence from 70s minimalism like Clapping Music by Steve Reich. Unlike the other pieces in this book, the difficulty of this piece derives not from the harmonic changes, but from the rhythms. A challenging time signature which is subverted by phasing the movement between the hands. Tempo should remain steady with no rubato, and dynamic changes should be instant, with no crescendos or diminuendos.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
