The three pieces presented here are from the Responsoria hebdomadae sancta (Responsories for Holy Week) which is considered one of Ingegneri's best known works. The Responsoria are interesting because many of them are scored for four voices with three-voice sections and have an ABCB form. This edition is scored for SATB and SSA, respectively.
