Three Inventions for Brass Sextet Chamber Music - Sheet Music

This piece was composed in 2010 on the recommendation of Shoichiro Hokazono. After a trial performance by Brass Hexagon in 2014, with some revisions, it was recorded and published. The first movement is a fanfare focused on repetitions of the melody in the Dorian mode. It can also be used as a standalone fanfare. If you like to shorten it, you can abbreviate the section from B to the end of C. The second song is a pastorale with a tuba melody. Since this piece employs many inner tensions, it is crucial to pay attention to the balance of each chord. The third is folklore in a Rondo-like format. It may seem to be an adagio, but is a rhythmic piece. You can conclude the whole piece with this movement. However, it is recommended to play the first movement again as a refrain. (Sohei Kano)
