This is a simple yet very powerful tune both musically and poetically. The words and music are easy to remember due to their repetitive structure. It also exhibits the history of piano from Gospel music which eventually made its way into popular music from the blues to jazz and rock. In the late 90's this arranger performed it at Oakwood College as a prelude for Sunday worship service in which General Colin Powell was the guest speaker.
