This setting of VRUECHTEN begins with a festiva flourish of organ pedal and fanfares. Congregation and choir sing the first stanza in unison. The choir sings the second stanza, which elaborates on the text. This is followed by an interlude that leads into a triumphant third stanza for choir, congregation, optional brass, and S/T descant. Congregation page included. May be performed by brass quartet/quintet and timpani. Brass writing is moderately difficult. When performed with Brass, organist plays from the Full Score. When performed without Brass, organist plays from Choral Score. Instrumental Parts include: Trumpets I and II in B-flat Horn in F Trombones I and II Timpani.
