This is Christmas uses mixed voices (SAB), a non-singing Readers' Chorus (half low, half high voices), Piano, Optional Children's Chorus and Optional violin. The violin (flute) part needs to be ordered separately (#09118). Separate pieces from the cantata which are also available separately are "Is This the One" (#01095) and "Sleep Little Jesus"(#00616). The cantata asks the question, "What is Christmas?" and then tells what it is really about. Songs included in the cantata are: "This is Christmas" "In Little Town of Bethlehem" "Sleep Little Jesus" "How Beautiful, How Fair" "When Love Came Down" "Is This the One?" "God's Abounding Love" "Song of Praise" The arrangement of "Is This the One?" is different in the cantata from the octavo copy.
