Shifting from 1st to 3rd
I have always felt I was fairly accurate in shifting from 1st to 3rd but do use a tuner to check since I am an adult amateur player. 34 etudes with goals clearly stated at the beginning make it an easy book to use. Stretching in 3rd, shifting, etc. Nicely printed books easy to read and the etudes can be worked on in chunks during practice sessions. I like to have a focus in mind for each time I practice. Good rhythms and keys keep the exercises/etudes interesting. Her books are never boring!
