By Frank Sinatra. By Fred Ebb and John Kander. Arranged by Frank Voltz for Chiera Music. This edition: pdf. Film/TV, Pop, Standards. Score. 5 pages. Frank Voltz of Chiera Music #1223370. Published by Frank Voltz of Chiera Music (A0.1656952).

Theme from “New York, New York” is a popular song written by John Kander and Fred Ebb for the movie, “New York, New York” in 1977. It was made famous by Liza Minelli (1977) and Frank Sinatra (1980). This arrangement for pedal harp is based on Don Costa’s orchestral arrangement for Frank Sinatra’s concerts. This arrangement incorporates, etouffee (string damping), pedal slides, and lots of syncopation. Pedals are marked judiciously and enharmonics are used to simplify pedal changes. This intermediate-advanced arrangement is very effective and will capture the attention of everyone regardless of concert setting or background music. This is a harpist’s tour de force!

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
