Perhaps not one of the better known Abba songs ''The Way Old Friends Do'' is nevertheless still popular among both recording artists and the general public. As an arrangement for accordions the piece is quite easy to play but as ever with accordionists the secret to a great sounding piece is nearly always down to the choice of couplers which are appropriate for that specific piece. As with all songs the No 1 & 2 accordion is trying to represent the human voice and will depend on whether the vocalist is male or female and all couplers should be chosen to take account of this. 4th accordion meanwhile should try to emulate strings in their choice of couplers and 3rd accordion can be allowed to move around in a similar fashion to the Euphonium in a brass band.
