I love John Williams' music, and enjoy many of the pieces in this collection. I take exception to there being, out of 28 total songs, 6 from Phantom Menace. There are 18 films represented, why are 6 songs from one film?I would return it, but I like enough of the rest to keep it.

This music is wonderful. My favourites are Qui-Gon's Funeral, Victory Celebration, Jurassic Park, Schindler's List, Somewhere in My Memory, Close Encounter of the Third Kind, and Star Wars Main Theme. With a little practice they're easy to play. Good arrangements.

I was looking for a great collection of John Williams compositions, and this fit the bill! I'm a mother of five, and I don't have lots of time to spend working on tough music, so I wanted something to sit down and kind of sight read through. I LOVE this book. It is just challenging enough yet easy enough for me to have a lot of fun playing it. Some of the songs are quite easy, and some take a little more work for me to master. I feel like it is a great balance. It has a lot of his best songs in it, too! I was a little disappointed with the arrangement of the Imperial March because it isn't quite grand enough, but I love everything else. If you're looking for an easy piano book with lots of John Williams most popular movie themes, look no further!

I bought The Very Best of John Williams because of the Home Alone piece Somewhere In My Memory. I was not disappointed! It is beautiful and easy to play. Like another reviewer, I wonder why so much Star Wars--that was disappointing. I want to share this book with my teacher--I think her one-two year students will have no trouble with most songs. I like the paper used in this book--not too crisp and it lays well enough on the piano. Schindlers List needed a better introduction--too short.
