The Total Rock Guitarist
This is the very best rock guitar instruction method book that any beginner can learn from. The CD is fantastic, as well as the many pages of Tab music that goes right along with the CD. Tobius Horowitz does a great job on the CD, and is so good at talking one through and helping one learn the electric guitar pieces in the book and CD. His voice is very conducive to learning. The book is definitely the very best I've found yet, as it includes both notes and Tab, it starts easy and progresses very gradually up to the early intermediate level, so it's perfect as a first starter Rock Guitar book. After this book, then one can go on to other more advanced books of Rock, like the ones put out by Hal Leonard for Black Sabbath, Ozzy, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Pantara, etc., etc.... Start at the beginning and work up, it's the only way! Tobius is great, you'll truly enjoy his well mannered teaching personality and professional teaching experience. In closing, GET THIS BOOK & CD...!
